The HP2 would impress more people IMO, because it is more "different" looking.

Non-riders aren't going to give the S1000rr a second glance, since it looks like just another crotch rocket. Riders might gawk at it, but not for much longer, because in a few months there will be one on every block.

saw one on the road a few weeks ago (hp2 sport), neat looking bike. i think one of the rags did a comparo with the aprilia rsv and some duc. havent been concerned enough to try and dig it up though :lol:
