MSRP $11,499.

I have been seeing a lot of awesome deals on new bikes around here.

Local shop here still has two of the 09 R1s that they got when they came out. :willy: They also have an 08 GSXR 600 that they are trying to get rid of for really cheap.

What are you guys seeing at your local shops?

That's what they get for having ridiculous markups. I had a dealer back in late '03 tell me that the absolute best price he could give me on a leftover 2003 CBR600RR was $10.5K OTD (I was paying cash). I bought an '04 636 later that day for $8K OTD from a different dealer. When I went back to the first dealer six months later, he still had the CBR. ;)

Cash is a negative when buying things like cars and motorcycles. Often times, dealers make a little on the back end if they finance. Sometimes they will factor that into the deal.

My buddy was selling left over 2008 CBR1000s for $9400 OTD. Sometimes honda will extend the hold backs on certain bikes or give reduced/free flooring for certain models meaning the dealer is more apt to wiggle on price if it's not a big seller.

Cost ain't always cost on bikes.

There were leftover 08 zx6r's, cbr1000rr's and cbr600rr's left over for pretty cheap at the same dealer I got my bike from.

just saw an 06 zx10r (black) with slip ons and 6k miles 4500$ private party seller. If you have money right now you set the price.

I know a guy who bought an 08 a couple weeks ago for only about $8300 OTD. But I'd rather have the 07, it looks better.

Just google honda dealerships all over the US and all new '08 1000's are under $7k.

Dave 09-14-2009 04:04 AM

dealer round the block has a couple 08 zx10s sitting at around 8k otd

so you're saying fill out the finance papers and pay it off the next day? ;)

RACER X 09-14-2009 07:59 AM

local dealer has some
'07 1000RRs for $7600, NEW
'08 1000rrs for $9099, 6 of them

these prices + taxes.

Homeslice 09-14-2009 08:00 AM

that's what they get for making the bike so ugly, lol

the ones with stripes look passable, but the solid-colored ones look nasty

It was a divorce sale if that makes you feel better.:)

karl_1052 09-14-2009 03:19 PM

Wierd, around here dealers are marking up the prices.

I bought my bike on May 31, 2008 for $12,200
The exact same dealer has an 09 in and the price has been $13,999 for the whole summer.:?:

Oh, well ya cause that usually dictates a "quick sale". I'm in no hurry, nor am I really selling at the moment.

It's my wallet not my feelings that I care about. But I can't care that much, bikes are not investments unless it's a limited edition.
