its raining bikes

going to be abusy week for me and new bikes. I go the ins on the buell today and ma picking that up tomorrow. I also went to look at a new track bike and wound up buying that too. Got an 07 gsxr 750 for 3K its got some body damage on the right side but all levers and pegs are intact and the bike runs great.

Figure I can get a few bucks for the street stuff and use it towards race plastics and suspension upgrades.

If you need extra levers, I have OEM levers from my 08 750 but I'm pretty sure they'll fit an 07.

Sean 11-03-2009 12:52 PM

Nice. I want an 07 750 track bike for 3k too.

wildchild 11-03-2009 01:08 PM

so you get two new bikes and she will be wearing some new tall black leather boots for you?

and she bought that? damn you're good.:rockwoot:

tached1000rr 11-03-2009 01:10 PM

Well if buying boots got you a bike then buying finger nail polish should at least be good for another helmet purchase:lol:

Go lay down

It made it home fine. I am a bit hurtin right now after 20 miles and some NYC traffic i am a bit beat. I am liking what I have seen so far. Power delivery seems very smooth, not much engine breaking with the slipper clutch so I have to get used to that. Suspension is much stiffer than the priller, I may tighten up the front though since the front end realy semed to nosedive with kinda hard breaking.

Not sure what to make of the brakes yet but figure they may need to bed in a bit more to give better feel but def have good stopping power, and unlike what marko said about the other buells shifting is very smooth and effortless.

Now to get it broken in so I can beat on it a little and get a better impression of it.

One more thing, Tom. I don't think that the temp tag is large enough, I can't read it from my blackberry from 40 feet away:nee:

Minor issue. Bolt came loose (thanks vtwin) from the shift linkage. It bent and I couldn't get it tight because it was bent. So I had to turn around and take it home on my way to meet Tom. I got a new bolt, after the HD parts guy searched the store high and low for 20 minutes to find it.

Oddly enough, it was shifting really smoothly. Thats how I knew something wasn't right. Didn't have that normal HD clunk..it was just sliding right into gear. Which was nice, but not normal.
