Thanks, bro. After working 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week since September, I think a set would be a nice Christmas gift to myself.

Trip 12-05-2009 08:48 PM

Two weeks maybe? It will be shipped to Hyperbike Performance Centers in Frederick, MD where I get all the stuff done. I just have to get the 60,000 mile service done first. I'm scheduled for this coming Monday but mother nature just dumped like 4 inches of snow. We'll see what happens.

marko138 12-05-2009 10:32 PM

Don't I know it. Snowed here today too. Didn't leave much. They called for 1-3 inches but didn't get any accumulation. I'm gonna try to get out tomorrow so I can change the oil, wash it and put it to sleep till March.

I think it will look great! Can't wait to see some pictures once you have them on.

TYEster 12-06-2009 11:01 AM

Bling bling!

I was thinking about ordering a set in black for the motard. I can get them for $500 less than Marchesini's.

wildchild 12-08-2009 08:19 AM

those rims look very nice. can't wait to see pics.

karl_1052 12-08-2009 12:31 PM

I think you should have ordered them in Gold and had them shipped to my house.

t-homo 12-08-2009 12:50 PM

Too sick, man. Congrats.

neebelung 12-08-2009 12:51 PM

Gorgeous!

sleeper_red 12-08-2009 06:41 PM

Thanks, everyone. My rear tire is just about worn out so as soon as the wheels arrive, I'll get them installed. Weather permitting, of course. Got the 60,000 mile service done yesterday. Man, she runs like new again. Greg from Hyperbike also did a compression test and it showed close to 200 PSI per cylinder. He said that's pretty good for a bike with 60,434 miles. He put Mobil 1 racing 4t oil again, changed the plugs, bled brakes and clutch, pretty much checked the whole bike and the only thing I need soon is a new chain. I'm not surprised. That chain has over 30,000 miles on it. It's the EK ZZZ. He couldn't believe the bike is only 2 years and 2 months.

TYEster 12-08-2009 06:43 PM

What bike are they going on?

Hopefully you notice a difference. I'm interested to see the results.

Glad she got a clean bill of health.

Going on this one.

One guy I know just ordered the exact same ones and he really noticed the difference. He also has a Busa. There's a 7 lb. difference between the stock ones and CZ's.

I'm telling you, she runs pretty strong for a bike with over 60,400 miles on it.

sleeper_red 12-09-2009 12:00 PM

Forgot to mention that I'm getting a brand new Vortex rear sprocket in black and a new chain.

Tye, I have Marchesnis on my TLR, and I noticed the difference with lighter wheels before I was 5 feet out of the driveway. I'll let you take it for a spin when I bring it down. :D

Ya honestly, it's hard to really ask your sportbikers, seeing is how I only have a 250lb bike to play with, I don't know if they'd make enough of a difference to justify them on the tard.

The only REAL justification I can see is I wouldn't need to run a tube. However after my first tire/tube change, it isn't much more of a hassle when changing tires.

I heard it's really noticeable when you have lighter wheels. One guy with a Busa said it felt like a smaller bike.

Scheduled to mount the wheels on Tuesday of next week. We'll see if they don't schedule me to work. I hope not.

And I had just talked myself into waiting another year or two to pull the trigger on a busa and you go and post this!

Looking good!

tommymac 01-29-2010 09:11 AM

Nice contrast with the red rims.

I can really feel the difference. The bike feels lighter.

njchopper87 01-29-2010 11:19 PM

New wheels look great. The contrast between the red and black makes them pop out at you.
