Best motorcyling tip
What is the best tip someone gave you during your motorcycling career so far? Just pick the first couple that come to mind, as I'm sure there will be several.
|
You control the bike, the bike doesn't control you.
|
don't let off the throttle, lean further.
|
ride at your own pace, don't try to keep up, and DON"T get suck into a corner following Travis or McGee lol......
|
Look where you want to go and trust your tires.
|
Act like an asshole, and be proud of yourself doing it! Give bitter old bikers someone to blame!
|
Dont crash
|
Don't get involved with them. They will break your arm, your heart and clean out your wallet.
I never take advice well... |
crashing sucks, avoid it all cost.
|
Remember the only reason people promote gear is because they sell it.
|
When in doubt... throttle out....

I'm with Captain Morgan, though. The best piece of advice I got was this: Trust your tires. |
the two best ones I have are:
ride at your own pace and within your limits. respect the machine, but do not fear it. |

Look where you want to go. And, if you think you've overcooked a corner, lean harder..
|
It's ok to ride with snow on the ground
|
:boobs:Riding on the beach is like anal sex, they're both lots of fun while you're doing it but the cleanup can be a bitch! Greetings from Daytona Beach! !!:rockwoot:

No matter how shiny, no matter how state of the art, no matter what you paid or how much you truly love it, sooner or later they all go down on the road...Be ready.
|
Pay extra attention around pharmacies. They're old people magnets.
|
Allow me to fix this advice...

LMAO, I thought I saw an adam's apple...
When listening to motorcycling advice it is wise to consider the character of the individual giving it. |
Ride as if you are invisible.
|
"believe in the machine..... lean further"

But don't trust it to protect you from cops.:lol: |

On a side note, I notice theres a lot less 'start small' going on around forums. Which isnt bad, it was pretty annoying. |

I don't really care what anyone starts on... as long as they're honest with themselves and takes it easy... that being said... I told my brother to start small... |

Start small
I did.;) |
When you follow Trip down Blood Mountain, Dont rely on his brake light as a gauge for each corner.
He doesnt use his brake. |

Lol.
To late now... But for real. Dont Trust the asshole next to you...Just pass the motherfucker like you mean it. |
If you think you're coming in too hot, hold the throttle and dig deeper.
Road rash sucks and dead cow skin is better at hitting the asphalt than your living skin. I like to ride motorcycles, wearing a helmet can save my head so that I can ride motorcycles more, because you can't ride if you're dead. DONT TRY TO KEEP UP, we'll wait for you at the stop sign. |
i have two
look through the turns. and most importantly, if you don't feel like taking a ride don't go. |

Most have already been said - Ride your own ride and don't try to keep up with anyone ever! Respect your bike and what it can do....but always know YOU control it and just because it can doesn't mean you should.
I figured out the gear part on my own after watching a few friends crash on our rides... |
When you stop, don't look down.

First time at the track- Don't worry about speed, concentrate on being smooth, and the speed will come. Plan on where you are going to put your foot down. (to avoid tipovers) Its easier to get off the bike and push it then it to back up on it. (For short people anyway) Seat shaving vs lowering the bike, and thick soled boots |
Look where you want to go - don't fixate on hazards/side of the road.
Countersteer - push right to turn right & vice-versa. DON'T PLAY KEEP-UP! |
Don't forget to breathe....
|
My tip concerns group riding:
If you're going to ride in a group, stay behind the hot chick and enjoy the view. |
Trust your tires.
Look where you want to go. After starting your bike, walk the bike 2-3 steps. (To save yourself/bike if you forgot to remove the disk lock). |
Chicken wings, flap/flap the elbows = relax!
