Just want to share with you all that I'll be heading to Competition Accessories Outlet Store in Rock Hill, SC on Monday, the 31st. They will be closed but I still want to check out the area, have lunch and head back home. It's close to 480 miles one way so I'll adjust the route on the way back to make it 1,000+ miles.

Sweet. Are you going to do whatever you need to do for your Iron Butt patch?

I'm doing around 1000 miles but it will be around 2.5 days, not 1.

Not really going to register with IBA. I just wanted to do it. For me, it doesn't have to be official. I'll take pics, though.

Good luck and ride safe.

That is how we were. Once we got back, one of my friends realized he lost some of his receipts. Really didn't care though, we knew we did it and that was good enough.

Enjoy tomorrow and be safe!

Just want to let you all know that we did it in 19 hours. 1008 miles total. Almost 6 hours of riding in pouring down rain. Hard at times in the mountains of VA and WVA. Pics and story will follow when I have more time. Please subtract 151 miles from the total miles. I took it for a ride the day before and I when I was leaving that morning, I was too excited that I forgot to take a pic of the mileage.

This is it for now. Too busy to sit here and post the rest.

I did a 1000 mile day last year to Memphis for lunch and back. It was a great day! :D

Busas are just made for that sorta thing!

Particle Man 06-02-2010 08:29 PM

Sweeeet!

Wow I just saw this. Congrats on the ride but the store leaves a lot to be desired imho. I do like Comp Access as far as ordering on line but I think the 50 miles I had to ride to visit the store was too far. Cycle Gear has two stores in the area that have more stuff than CA's store.
