njchopper87 04-10-2009 05:00 PM

Yea, I get hungry real fast too.

I love General Tso's Chicken. The places here don't make it right, but back in Jersey I found a place that makes it perfectly. Sesame Chicken is great too, and Sweet and Sour Chicken, but I'm tired of that now. Orange chicken, Lemon Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, those fried things with the meat in them... FUCK. I miss Jersey. You jackass, and I'm fuckin hungry to top it off.

Trip 04-10-2009 05:11 PM

lemon chicken and lettuce wraps

Smittie61984 04-10-2009 05:17 PM

Fuck you asshole damnit. Now I'm craving some MSG like a fat kid craves well MSG.

General Tso's chicken/dog/rat is my favorite.

I also prefer Chinese over Japanese. Not that Japanese food is bad but I'm not spending $25 to sit around a bunch of strange fuckers I don't know and eat with them. Also just becuase I sit at the same god damned table as you doens't mean I want to fucking talk to you you fat fuckers.

Homeslice 04-10-2009 05:19 PM

I don't think I've even been exposed to "real" Chinese food. I kind of doubt they actually serve Orange Chicken or Kung Pao Chicken in China. I try to steer away from most of that because it's deep-fried.

Real Chinese is fucking disgusting. My parents live in China. They can eat American Chinese and love it, they can't stand to eat any native Chinese food. They get a lot of the food they eat shipped in from Australia.

Homeslice 04-10-2009 06:06 PM

But do they actually batter and deep-fry the meat like they do here in America. I would rather have simple sauteed meat, like the Vietnamese do.

We took a group of girls from here to NYC, while there we ate at a "real" Chinese buffet in China town. The girls freaked out at the stuff, cow eyes, hearts, stuffed intestines, etc. The funniest part was later that night when we drove past the back of the restaurant and saw them butchering goats. Have you ever heard 55 teenage girls scream in unison. It's kinda funny:lol:

Sesame Chicken and Malah String Beans!!!

As my old philosophy professor would say..... "You could dip a ping-pong ball in MSG and I would eat it!"

t-homo 04-10-2009 08:36 PM

General Tso's chicken with lo mein noodles and crab rangoon is in the top 10 meals ever.

Here is the real question though. How any of you had chinese today?

Sixxxxer 04-10-2009 08:45 PM

Well Since I started the Thread...I Def Did!!!

Then Two hours after I started the thread I had a Cheesesteak and Fries

pickle.of.doom 04-10-2009 10:41 PM

+111111 on the General Tso's Chicken... that shit is the bomb, especially when it has a real nice gingery spicy kick to it! Always love it over a bed of white rice.

<---- Can use chopsticks, prefers a fork.

t-homo 04-10-2009 10:57 PM

Same with the chop sticks. They are much easier when you have lo mein than when you have rice though.

rogue 04-10-2009 11:03 PM

I always eat Chinese with chopsticks. I haven't used silverware while eating Chinese food in years. :)

they do a lot of different stuff with food, some is deep fried. They just got poor quality control and eat weird shit. Dog (a special breed that is meant for eating) is on the menu and my dad's coworkers tricked him into eating it.

not all american chinese is battered/deep fried, you can get some grilled/sauteed.

Adeptus_Minor 04-11-2009 12:26 AM

For American-Chinese, I like General Tso's and szechuan beef.
My favorite stuff, though, comes from a local place run by a family from Hong Kong.
They serve more authentic fare (whole steamed fish, clay pot dishes, excellent dim sum)

Racerboy 04-11-2009 04:24 AM

Gen Tso's Chicken or Orange Chicken
Crab Rangoon

Curb 04-11-2009 01:18 PM

I'm a Jew...its programmed in my DNA to love all Chinese food. And now I really want some and since its Passover, I can't:(

Amorok 04-11-2009 01:49 PM

Read Christopher's Moore's Lamb, it has a funny explanation of the stereotype of Jews eating Chinese food at Christmas.

I like the chicken and broccoli. I really dig the wontons when they're in egg drop soup.

Earlzach 04-11-2009 02:19 PM

General tso over shrimp fried Rice with one of thoes yellow mustard packs and soy. I really like it spiced up. Oh and Did I mention its what I had less than an hour ago for lunch. MMMMMM!!!

Tsunami 04-11-2009 02:25 PM

you guys make me laugh!

I've never had General Tso's chicken. Adeptus, Austin is on my list of places to visit, when i come down you must bring me to that restaurant. If you ever come to Vegas, i found this great restuarant in one of our local casinos that also serves dim sum and food in clay pots and such. Its the only "authentic" place i found so far.

The chinatown here is so lame, it makes me sad. :(

Papa_Complex 04-11-2009 02:32 PM

Cantonese chow mein, for the "American Chinese." For 'real' Chinese dim sum. I've found that when it comes to real national cuisine, it's best not to ask what's in it

t-homo 04-11-2009 02:34 PM

I had some goose wrapped in bacon and deer wrapped in bacon for lunch today. Fucking delicious.

That's no stereotype...that's truth. Every Xmas I usually do Chinese and a movie...if anything good is out

Funny you should mention Moore. I just finished reading "Island of the Sequined Love Nun".

Great stuff.

Never had "real" Chinese food.

I love Japanese food, though.
