Paint Scheme - Black & White is Right

Probably going to go with this paint scheme; I need to do something to make my bike "feel" different. I'm thinking I'll do this in the Fall, when it's getting colder.

Trip 05-28-2009 02:56 PM

yeah, there is a new bike in your future. I started doing the same thing and then just decided to get a new bike.

shmike 05-28-2009 02:56 PM

I'm huge fan of white.

My race paint is very similar but without the striping.

If you go through with it, I'd highly recommend taking the extra step and have the wheels done too.

White and black = :boobs:

Those aren't stripes - they are supposed to be lines showing the edges/curves. lol

I wish. I can't afford a new bike. Not for a while.

I was thinking of doing something similar to the r6... but not black/white... maybe blue/orange

AquaPython 05-28-2009 03:50 PM

NO blue / orange !!!

Ninjakel 05-28-2009 03:50 PM

I like it. It looks clean. I know it's just showing hard lines, but I think the striping would look nice too.

On an R1? White IS right.

I think we have a very pro white board, the only reason the DRZ isn't white yet is cause the tank wouldn't hold paint well, it expands and contracts too much.

derf 05-28-2009 06:43 PM

Throw a honda sticker on there and you'd have quite the sexy bike

DLIT 05-28-2009 07:01 PM

That'll look good. Have a proper pinstriper do some white lines on the wheels too. Don't use rimstripe.

Yep, I bought a white tank for mine... not too expensive and it held more gas.

yeah, i have the big exxon valdez fuel tank on it already, it's yellow. It's just kinda a waste of money for me to put more money into a bike I am using to tear through the woods and learn dirt riding. I wreck too much on it right now to paint it up nice.

I don't know where it is from. I did a Google image search for white R1.
I know on the old site, Knight Hunter posted a pic of a local guy who had a white R1. It was fucking :boobs: I was looking for that pic but I couldn't find it.

That's bitchin.

t-homo 06-07-2009 02:20 PM

I've wanted to do white on my bike for a while now. I'd probably get the same stickers that I have now (same as on CEO's bike) with the white and red.
