I am really happy that CA is supporting motorcycle safety...but...
...it is not very safe.
Recently I have seen two amber alert boards on the freeway that say... Quote:
Why can they not just say: LOOK TWICE FOR MOTORCYCLES or WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES. :willy: |
You have a point there....
|
But It's a start.... but If they would let bikes be as loud as people would like to be folks would feel/hear them coming....:kawi:

Revving a loud exhaust bike only pisses people off that don't ride. I've always felt it's better to be a good steward of our hobby. Making people mad is one more person out to run us down or not look twice or not care when they don'.
If you really want to make sure that people know you're where you are prior to occupying your space, get yourself a 140db air horn. It's not obnoxious *all* the time, but you know what, when you need it, it's right there on your thumb. People will usually GTFO the way when they hear a horn that belongs on an 18 wheeler screaming at them. There are compact models available that will fit easily within the confines of a motorcycle. :D |
Jesus Christ its Low posting again!!!!! WTF you been up to homie???
Hey at least its something!!! AND at least you're riding out there! Why don't you park your bike for 3 months and then see if you can find something else to complaign about??? :D Not meant to be mean... but real! |
Those signs are such a waste of taxpayer money. I think they got paid for with funds allocated to enforcement of Megan's Law. Think of the children!!! Nevermind the fact that they usually just say "17 minutes to the 605" or "Buckle up for safety". Gee, thanks.

I'd prefer that they stay blank unless there's an actual alert otherwise people tend to tune them out.
I appreciate the sentiment but I'd prefer to not have people ignore those signs when they're lit up. |
