Turning a bill of sale into a title
 

i bought a 2001 suzuki marauder a while back and the owner didnt have the title or anything like that. i had him sign a bill of sale, put down all of his information, everything like that. now that i've fixed it i want to get it registered. but i havent found any way to get a duplicate title. does anyone know a way that i could do it without throwing 1500 bucks at the problem?

Throw 1499 at the problem and hope they cant count

Staab title service will do it, if you can insure it, and provde a few documents. pretty simple really, and only costs like $200 or so.

will they be able to do it in PA or do i have to transfer it to maine and have them do it through there?

Can't you just put in for a lost title?

Why would you buy it without a title?

Yeah I wondered that too but didn't feel like asking..

price was too good and i ran the vin with the cops to make sure it wasnt stolen.

Just have the Guy you bought it from put in for a lost title with the state. It's about $35-ish.

Unless he didnt have the title either
