Just a question about selling
We put my Gs up for sale. I figure when I am ready to get back into riding after a few years of baby duty I can get myself a new bike instead of having to pay for storage until then ( no garage darned it!)
My question is this.. when you sell a bike what do you do about people wanting to take it for a ride. Insurance wise I am not comfortable with a total stranger riding my bike. |
Cash in your hand while they ride. No exceptions. They wreck it, they just bought it.

If I don't know you: Cash in hand = test ride.
Especially on a bike like that, it shouldn't be too hard to scarpe together a few grand. |

I had a "you break it you bought it" paper written up and signed by the test rider that bought my SV650. This time around, I'm keeping it simple. No test rides.

Thanks everyone, Great advice!

I feel them out. When I sell bikes, I sometimes let them test ride it. Then again, most of my bikes aren't sport bikes.
