Adventure and Cienega Mtn. Challenge is on! Be a part of showing the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department that they made the right decision let Dual Sport riders enjoy the beauty of Big Bend Ranch State Park (BBRSP) Texas. Here's a report on last year's B.U.T.T. When: Thursday Dec. 30th to Sunday Jan. 2nd. Where: Big Bend Ranch State Park, Texas. What: Three days of self-guided exploration of BBRSP, Terlingua is optional. Who: Dual Sport Riders on street legal motorcycles. Each rider must reserve a bed at the Bunk House for $35 per night for Dec. 30th, 31st. and Jan 1st. Only the first night is charged immediately, you pay the balance upon arrival. The Bunk House sleeps 15 men and 15 women and is available to all park visitors. Be sure to order Breakfast and dinner for each day. Lunch is optional. RESERVE YOUR INDIVIDUAL BUNK EARLY!! Call (512) 389-8919 to make reservations and just tell park staff you need a bunk in the Bunk House. Camping is optional. Here are some things to know: BBRSP is only accessible via a 30 mile dirt road, and is quite remote. 1. Licensed dual sport motorcycles only 2. DOT approved tires. 3. Bring extra fuel. 4. Slime both tires. 5. Bring tools, chain lube, inner tubes and a tire pump. 6. Wear full protective gear, including knee guards. 7. Roads will vary from wide smooth gravel to primitive 4-wheel drive. 8. Carry snacks for lunch on the trail. Sack lunches can be ordered to go as well. 9. If you venture out of the BBRSP to Terlingua or Big Bend National Park you will be gone all day. 10. Dress for cold weather. 11. Quite pipes are appreciated. |

Loud is just a matter of perspective. My 1125 is soooo quiet, by full race standards anyhow. Really I know alot of cruisers in town louder...

I honestly think my bike has gotten a lot quieter since the Rally... dunno why... I checked the packing it all looks good... (just looked didn't remove it) but damn dude's DRZ I could literally hear from 2 miles away when he got on it. |
