styeering head bearrings
I am going to be replacing them in my futura in the next week or so. I have to order a set but will start disassembly tomorrow. Any tips or advice on doing the job. I went through it in the manual and it doesnt look too bad but figured if anyone has any tips to make the job easier I will gladly take it ;)

You using tapered-roller vs. ball-bearings?
That'd be my main advice, beyond not dropping your shit on the floor 'cus you used bungee cords and drywall anchors to hang it. :) |

Kerry, guys on the aprilia forum have used both and said the regular ball bearrings worked just fine compared to the tapered rollers. I gotta look around on line to order a set today anyway. |
Yeah, ball bearings work fine & have a *little* less drag than tapered-roller - they just don't last as long or handle as much abuse. Keep your monster stand-up wheelies & jumping to a minimum and they should give you plenty of service though. :)
Oh - races in the freezer for a while + gently heating the neck = easy installation. |
Tommy is mecha godzilla sized, his riding is like coming down off a wheelie over every bump
