Rear left signal stopped working.
today it rained in on my bike under the garage at work and i noticed my left signal indicator was staying solid when activated 90% of the time.
Went to the store and picked up some shrink wrap to re-wire it, but as most of you are probably already aiming at the reply button, yea, im trying to check the fuse. Cant really find it though, i know its under the tail behind the battery, but its a cluster fuck back there. Wouldnt both the signals be on the same fuse though? i dont get why one side would work fine but the other only the rear light wont work. for reference, when i activate the left signals the front flush mount goes on and stays on just like the indicator. |
GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY
http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/8...rth8633715.jpg after checking every single fuse, and throwing a slight tantrum, i decided to put on a stock ducati signal i had laying around, and sure enough it works fine. so i take apart the old signal and find that blasted blasted black burned out bitch of a bulb. so here goes a little trip to autozone hoping they cary something that will fit in my 20$ signal. thanks for your concerns |
How old is the bulb?
|
So the bulb was burned out?
|
Yep the bulb blowned out. Seems pretty odd, it wasnt that old at all. just a simple 4 watt bulb in a sealed signal. Used some liquid gasket to seal the signal back up and it works good as new.
It was weird, it didnt seem like a fuse and the wiring was good, that shoulda been like the first thing i checked but u just dont expect those types to things to go bad. 5$ fix from autozone. |
