I agree with the thread title, though this would be just as likely to happen in English speaking Canada as in Quebec. Parents' rights to discipline their children are now effectively non existent.

I would be insanely pissed if I were him - the courts just undermined any authority he had over his daughter.

My first reaction would likely be to say that her mother can have her.

I would give her ass to the judge, if you want to fucking make the decisions for me on how to raise my child, you pay for/raise her.

Thats bullshit. If she can make her own decisions then she should have to start paying her own way.
