Yeah Korea really has a fucked up history... and it's really overlooked in the US because of Vietnam. there are still families torn apart because of the division.
it'd be like having a 4km wide dead zone on the mason dixon line. can't imagine having family members live 20 miles away... that you'd never be able to see.
