They are slippery! The one I ran over was already dead though. I did kill a caterpillar up at the Gap. I redeemed myself though by saving a baby blue bird that was sitting at the gas pump when I get to get gas.
He was just sitting there staring at me so before taking any of my gear off I picked him up and walked him across the road. He was fussing like crazy. I put him down and he flew off!
