Two Wheel Fix - View Single Post - True or false? We are safer on unknown roads?

I don't know if we're actually safer on unknown roads, as the same unpredictable factors exist ( i.e. Unaware cagers)... But I can see where our riding might be more cautious and focused. As to whether that nets out to greater safety is hard to determine though.
