I've always wanted an English bulldog. They are so cool looking, always chilling. But super expensive. Instead I've got an insane Lab who rarely calms the fuck down. Always on edge and ready for battle.

i took care of an ex-gf's french bulldog for a few months - i loved that thing. i should have taken it with me when i moved, since she never took great care of it. anywho, they're awesome dogs, with a few caveats - they fart like their lives depend on it. and it reeks. they also snore so loud your bed will vibrate (maybe a plus if you like vibrating beds). if you can deal with those 2 things, you'll prob be very happy with them. they're a ton of fun, playful, friendly, and have kind of a funny personality to them.
oh, as mentioned, extremely expensive (as in, several thousand dollars from a reputable breeder), but if you're rescuing, you'll save a big chunk. here are a few pics of Marley, the dog i took care of. while i couldn't give a rat's ass about the girl i still wonder what happened to him... |

they're very cute pups, very playful and not as prone to disease as an english. not nearly as large either. we looked at a couple because the girly wanted an english but didn't want all the diseaase problems.
not bad for price but not free to a good home either. ones we looked at were right around a grand. lots of info on the net about them. |
