Recent track photos and vids
Track photos showed up:
Turn 6 group shot, coming up on a slower rider Here is that video I posted it somewhere else but it's a lap around NHMS from the sept days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH6QL8zjtV8 These are from the 10-12 Buell Inside Pass TD at the Lightning course at NJMP. It took me most of the day to get up to speed there, and by then the photog was done I think, so in most of the shots I look shitty. Anyways, Here's a vid... I am the camera biking riding my buddy's 636 and he is riding my r6. I catch up to him mid-session and we switch around a few times. Then his bike ran out of gas ... that was fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzeop6u-Jds Like this one: A Buddy and I: Riding my buddy's 636: Him on my R6: Only a few shots from the 10-13 day at thunderbolt... think I have some vid too but I need to dig it up:

Maybe it's just the angle of the camera but damn what is the banking in that corner in the second pic.
So when are you gonna let me ride the R6 and you hope on the 6R. |

But really thanks... I have a shitload to work on... but have been happy with most of my progress. I think at this point racing is going to help my learning curve continue to steepen. Most of the things I need to work on are all about balls... so competition should help me with that. Quote:
At lightning the 3rd photo after the video is also pretty banked and a lot faster than the turns at NHMS... hard to tell speed from pics though.

haha but basically it was a Buell-sponsored track day... they are run by SportbikeTrackTime though and Buell just shows up with a nice lunch and truck full of buells... However they make you go out with a control rider if you want to try out there bikes so my buddy and I just said forget it and rode on our own... you had to sign up and ride in a line behind them and all sorts of silly shit. I got all the bike variation I wanted by swapping with my buddy for a few sessions.

Nice pics, but you're saying you pussed out on riding the 1125... tsk tsk.
From what I've read, yes, you have to follow a control rider, but that control rider is fast and smooth. You would have gotten a good ride in, especially since you are used to a high revving no torque bike, which the 1125 is not. |
