I am 6'2" and never had a problem on a 600rr with vortex rearsets as high as they go. You just got to be flexible. I also ride on a big wheel with no issues.

Generally, Hondas have always been the most comfortable for me.

While arguably not in the category of a true Sport bike I would say take a close Look at the Busa and the ZX14 these are flat out incredible to ride. The thing that hard core sport riders vetch about when these bikes are discussed (extra weight and chassis length) smooth out the ride and anything you give away in the corners, the incredible torque on both machines lets you more than take it back in the straights.

I'm 6'4" and am on my 3rd GSXR1000. I'm quite comfortable on it. When I bought my first GSXR back in 2001, I had just parted ways with Yamaha and was looking for a change so I tried EVERYTHING else, including the Italian brands. There were several factors that drew me to this bike but comfort was definitely on the list.

I feel cramped as hell on my CBR 1000 on the longer trips, it does not help that I severely pulled muscles in my neck/shoulder area 2 years ago and will not stay off the bike long enough for it to quit agitating it. I know it has to do this bike because if I switch to the F4I or Ninja 500 I can ride all day pain free. |
