Computer question
Ok I will prepare for the ridicule here but hopefully someone can answer this for me. Since w emoved in we changed internet connections DSL to fios and havent been able to connect my old desktop to the modem/router. Now theres a word document I need to update and send to someone. M yplan was to load it on to a thumb drive so I can work on it while I am at work. I tried to save it and it wouldnt saying it was read only. Is there a way to change this so that it can be saved on the thumb drive.
The computer is about 9 yrs old and is running windows ME, I just plan to get all ym pics and documents off of it and put out to pasture and get a new desktop. Thanx in advance Tom |

Navigate to the thumb drive. Right-click the file. Select "properties." Uncheck the box next to "read only."

Nevermind that. Someone using ME 6 months after it hit the market.
