Good luck with Japanese automatic transmissions though. |

Thing with the automatics is that there is maintenance (fluid changes, etc) that is often overlooked and leads to failures

There is nothing wrong with Japanese auto trannys. The problem comes in when you don't change the fluid OR you overfill the thing.

They had issues with Honda's yes, because Honda made the transmission, not Aisin.

I still wouldn't get an auto on a Corolla..........Shit would be slow as hell. Also, auto trannies on 4-cylinders tend to shift like shit.
