Welcome to Michigan Driving
Ya know... ever since my bud Marko from PA came into town back in Feb. I sometimes think about how his wife commented about our driving in Michigan. Now granted I was driving with them during non rush hour traffic times and not in the crazy busy areas.
On my way to work this morning I was laughing at what was around me in the left lane. I had an easy 4 vechicles behind me in the distance of what SHOULD only be 1. Same really goes for in front of me. We're all rolling at about 80mph right on top of each other. So I took a pic of my rear view, no law against that, just texting. LOL Not the best angle... the cars had moved. But you can see the shadows easily... we are all damn near glued to each others bumps... normal to use... extreme tail gating to most others... LOL... I've always said, if you can drive in michigan you can drive anywhere. |

I think it's like that everywhere. Can't stand tailgaters though.
It's illegal to text but you can still use your phone? Here it's illegal to use handheld devices (no matter what you're doing). |

Really the only drivers I have found that share a michigan mindset towards agresive driving... is New Yorks. Tommy rolls just like I do. Don't take shit, and I'll F'in hit you to prove my point.

Understand this is 7am light traffic. I don't get back traffic in my area. Now when I lived in the northern suburbs of Detroit (Royal Oak/Troy by I-696). It was freakin insane! Or in Novi area where I-275/I-96/I-696/M5/M14 all come together... we call it the mixing bowl. F that place from about 2pm - 7pm Mirror!!! Just like no the drivers seat isn't on the passenger side. That's the way it is here. Remarkably it works fine. Very few accidents really. But when it gets dense you have to stay on your toes. |

But in Atlanta, we got mad tailgatin skillz. The nicest drivers are NC drivers. I've never seen people go so far out of their way to stay out of the faster lane.

Why bother at that point? If Im doing 85 in a 65 or something and someone flies up on me, theyre the type of person that will go to the right to pass me before I even bother. Trust me I do it to people all the time. |

And I bet you completely lose your cool when some dipshit won't get out of YOUR way. Especially when moving to the right would immediately jam you into slower moving traffic. If only I had a dollar for every dipshit with that ignorant mindset on my drive to Florida and back last week...
