I try to teach emotionally disabled kids the culinary arts. I say try, because a good portion of my time is spent dealing with the ED part...ya know; restraining kids having meltdowns, dodging punches, getting treated for bites (twice), stabbings(once), headbuttings (not yet, but close), kids bringing weapons to school (twice), and all-around good fun. When we don't hove the kids, we're training for breaking up fights, throws and takedowns, single and team restraints, and when we're not doing that, we're doing paperwork to justify our actions in all of the above, and when we're not doing that, we're doing lesson plans, purchase orders, setting up next periods lessons, ect...
After my first job, I go to my wife's store, pick up paperwork and go to the warehouse, where I load furniture for that night's deliveries, pick up my helper, and deliver furniture till 8pm or so... When I'm not doing those things, I'm either repairing furniture for our customers or other furniture stores, or picking up, delivering or working on bikes....... Oh, and I also go to school two nights per week to keep my teaching credentials current......... anyway, that's what I'm doing................................. |

I train feral cats to skydive for the CIA, on anti-terrorist missions.
I'd tell you more, but Mr. Fluffy would have to kill you. JC

I manage outsourced customer support for the e-commerce part of the company I work for. Lately, that has mostly meant fighting with a company who feels persecuted by us and has a million reasons why poor performance isn't their fault. It also involves backpedaling on signed contracts when they come back and say "Oh, we didn't realize what that meant when we signed it," or, "We've been managing to our interpretation of the intent of the contract, not necessarily the letter of the contract."
On the positive side, I also get to go source new companies to do our business, which helps my mood when dealing with that first part. |

I spend all day wandering around the campus telling people with 10+ IQ points and several doctorates more than me that their computers are dead, because they forgot to plug them in.
