quick chain question
My friggin chain is 1 link too big (FML).
All I need to do is cut 1 rivet off and put the master link through that right?

You need to remove 1 full link. make sure that the small (inside plate) is left open on the end, so the master will connect.

I'm an idiot, it wasnt too long, and it just fell off the sprocket. So now its a link too short, and I need to order a new chain

Why order a new chain? Put another rivet link in.

if you lay them side by side you can see if they are the same length before cutting any off.

i replaced my chain today and what an adventure, I broke the damn pin to remove the rivet (second time I have done that) and now am missing apiece that crimps the rivet down on the plate.
I was due for a day like that since my fork install went flawlessly the day before tom |

I have a new chain arriving on tuesday so I might try and install it myself, if not we have a job to do when we arrive.
