a) mixing cran and ras pure juice , is not that good and not what you would expect it to be. super tart, and not sweet , as they are berries with low sugar content.
b) apple juice and grape juice is LOADED with natural sugar. they use this to sweeten the product. c) they also use it to hone the flavor to what the panel agrees most people would like.

Hahahahaha. I'd hate to be Avatard's congressman.
"Dear Congressman This juice at Whole Foods is bullshit, and the company should be brought to justice"

I don't get what the big deal is. Most people I know who care about "100% juice" (myself included) are looking for 0% HFCS, not some kind of assurance that the flavors on the front are the only juices inside. The stuff tastes like cranberries and raspberries, and is sweetened with other juices. So?

Heard the cooking guy that does the welch's grape juice and in the commercial he ends with, "100% grape juice." Might wanna check that one out.
I did buy some apple juice at a gas station and it had different "juices" listed but that wasnt the weird part. The concentrates came from US, Germany, China, and 5 other countries. So what exactly is "concentrate?" |

The Welch's Grape/Cherry is my current favorite. It's made of just grape and cherry juice - it's legit.
As for why they concentrate juiices, it's because 1) shipping water around costs money. and 2) Concentrating juices raises the sugar content, and minimizes the need for preservatives.

The example I gave where they tried to "sweeten" with pineapple juice resulted in something that tasted nothing like the flavor portrayed on the front. If a bottle of juice is comprised PREDOMINANTLY of something, it should probably be listed on the front of the label, not hidden in the ingredients list.
