So I don't get it. She is doing things that are good for everyone's safety, especially motorcyclists, and a bunch of douchebags on here are putting it down to look internet tough?

I think people are pissed because common sense would say not to use a cell phone while driving and that it takes someone like Oprah to bring it to the forefront

Maybe not....studies are showing that cell phone driving laws are having 0 effect on motor vehicle collisions.

Yep. Our state House just passed a ban. No idea if or when the state Senate will take it up.

Cell phone driving laws but not using a cell phone while driving. There have been plenty studies done that show using a cell phone while driving affects response time. And it's just common sense - when you're multi-tasking, you can't pay 100% attention to either activity.
