Tire tracks
I started seeding and fetilizing the yard saturday. I was wearing my cleats and noticing the yard was JUST soft enough to make some good impressions, since we've had ample rain in the last 72 hours. Normally the ground is hard as a rock.
I thought about renting an aerator to help the seed take hold a little better, but decided that since the boy got denied a good ride (due to the rain all the MX tracks were closed) that I'd put him to use PLUS let him have a little fun. SO I asked him to take on the task of riding around in the yard and trying to hit most of it, without going over the same place twice. I didn't have to twist his arm He did a good job, and the seed fell right in the tire tracks

Great idea, but I'm sure the neighbors loved that one. LOL

Well, you know the one across the street...or wait...did he come across and talk to us when you were loading up?! I can't remember?!?!
Anyway..he's a rider, and looking for a dirtbike. The guy next to HIM rides an 07 RT and doesn't mind if the boy rides in the woods. Jim, at the end of the road said we can cut thru HIS back yard to get to the fields, and the neighbor on the other side of HIM asked to ride my DRZ when I brought it home The only other couple near us is a Dr and personal trainer with a 18 month old. They're the ONLY ones I'm concerned with because of the baby napping. But I called them and they were like " Hell yeah dude, as long as you teach Kate how to ride when she gets old enough" I got some kickass neighbors!

That's fantastic! Next, go put some spikes in and aerate as well...
It makes life so much better when you get along with your neighbors.

I got MY DRZ out to test the theory, but it was too heavy and left ruts. Which is unusal for this area since we're red clay. Usually the grounds SO very hard, but since we've had pretty good rain, it was very forgiving.
I made a pass on the boys bike and it was MUCH better, but still a slight rut. But with him only being 90 pounds I knew that'd be the right combination. Sure enough...all HE left were square divits
