2nd child of Pa. couple dies after only praying
http://news.yahoo.com/2nd-child-pa-c...111713837.html
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A couple serving probation for the 2009 death of their toddler after they turned to prayer instead of a doctor could face new charges now that another son has died. Herbert and Catherine Schaible belong to a fundamentalist Christian church that believes in faith healing. They lost their 8-month-old son, Brandon, last week after he suffered from diarrhea and breathing problems for at least a week, and stopped eating. Four years ago, another son died from bacterial pneumonia. |

Maybe their faith will get stronger in prison. Apparently it's not up to par right now.

Didn't read the article but not sure why the masses are calling for prison?
Would you imprison a Jehovah's Witness for not accepting a blood transfusion?

OK, JW witness disallows their child to accept a transfusion: You send them to prison?

if the transfusion is alife or death procedure (most times it is if you need blood products) then I feel the parents should be charged. Withthe second child there, some IV fluids may have been all they needed and none of this would have happened. I am obviously a little jaded/biased by working in the ghetto I have seen enough moronic parents, an dif they destroy themselves I dont realy care, but the kids have no choice in the matter. |

You can pray for healing all you want, but in the mean time...take them to the Dr. Afterall, didn't God create Doctors for a reason?
Sorry, this isn't a "Dumb Christian" story, this is just a "Dumb Human" story. You can't fix stupid sometimes! Even with science OR faith!

Would you imprison parents for trying to pray away their child's hunger instead of giving him food? Freedom of religion does not grant freedom of child negligence.
