we've had a majic jack for 5-6mos, it's alright, not perfect, but for a 2nd line for cheap it fits the bill.

we also have this lil bluetooth home phone device and have reg. phones all over the house. that basically connect to our cells. so we can answer reg. phones all over the house that are calling our cel.

Really? Well, I have zero problems with Skype, though I don't use it now that I have unlimited minutes. I had Majic Jack and it would just stop working for no reason. I'd get emails for the missed calls and be like WTF? I'd have to unplug it and plug it back in all the time. I do admit however that this was a couple years ago, things may have improved.

I'm just as surprised as you are.. in the last year it was nothing but garbage for me. Hell.. most of the time it didn't even work. Skype has always worked very well, though.

Hmm.. Cutty and Racer X are the only people I know that said anything positive about it besides the price. I mean I know you get what you pay for.. but it's like I was paying for nothing at all.

google voice through wifi = win over any of the previous shit mentioned.

Yep, hated it completely. Plus you have to leave your computer on 24/7 which is not acceptable to most people. There are tons of Skype phones that will work off your account in ANY WiFi environment. For a while the city was talking about going city wide free WiFi and I had my Skype phone all picked out! Oh well, maybe in the future...

why would I want to it works on my cell phone? If you have an unlimited data package, you have nothing to be concerned about anyway.
