Default Internet Sound Help

For some reason just today my sound stopped working for anything on the internet. I can still play mp3 files and everything but anytime I try to watch a video on youtube or stream music it doesnt have sound. The vids will play but be silent. Ive tried a few google found suggestions including restore, checking settings, etc and nothing has worked. I use firefox and I even tried it in IE and no sound in either one. Anyone got any suggestions?

No setting in the general sound properties is going to just mute internet... browser settings however...

What browser are you running?

is it just a problem w/ your flash plugin maybe? try uninstalling and reinstalling. Also, i know on a fresh reboot i would not have the problem until i ran certain apps. try a reboot w/ no auxillary programs running (start->run-> type:msconfig -> set it up so no programs start on fresh boot, then restart)

but its worth a shot. Try www.driveragent.com and run a test to see if your drivers are out of date. if you need i have a username and PW to get the correct downloads if you need them.

also check your security settings.
