chi, you cant think of the successive hulk movies as sequels and prequels. they are what are called "Reboot's". They know they F-up the movie and they want to try it again from a whole new, fresh perspective. It has happened before in Hollywood, but because of advances in CGI and people running out of idea's you are seeing them more often, and sooner to the original's release.
I didn't mind that last Hulk, but the enemy was lame when he got as big as Hulk. There is a weak commonality with a lot of superhero and action movies that we have seen so many times, where the antagonist always ends up like a negative version of the protagonist. That's not how all comic books are written, it's just how they can make something look like a close fight to the last second, when good then prevails. Hopefully avenger's gets the idea of teamwork to overtake something greater than the sum of the parts. and doing it right (not like F4).
