Everyone says he shouldn't have done that, but no one has said what he should have done instead. I'm not challenging you , just curious.

My husband made the point that if he would have tried to use force to get cuffs on her he very well could've broken her arm.

I agree, if he had physically restrained her in some manner, "laid a hand on her" he could have been hit with some gay charges for using physical force, assault, etc. As it is, he gave an order, several times, and you can tell he is talking via radio to someone who obviously advised him to do what was needed, and this old lady wasnt going to do as ordered. His action, while over the top, saved him from having to sit on the old bag, and her from getting sat on for the arrest.
