You don't want to use the HF tire changer right out of the box. Let me find the website where a guy added non-scratching stuff to his.

Well crap. I think I found the link, but most of the pics are gone. The guy just bought some of the pastic type cutting boards and made pieces to fit on the tire changer anywhere it would touch the rim. You put pieces on the rim holders and a flat piece down on the bead breaker.
