Default How old is too old for takeoffs?

I can buy a set of 211s with one TD on them, but they've been sitting for "9-12 months". Seller said he was putting them on his street bike.

I have 2 year old take offs sitting here that I'll put on my street bike when this set of take offs finally wears through. But I know they've been in the garage and how they were handled before that (warmers, less heat cycles)
