Electronics wizards: 555 monostable one shot?
I need a circuit to prevent doorbell re-trigger for 5 seconds (either that, or a hitman to take out my UPS guy).
Motherfucker is either neurotic, or has fucking Parkinsons. Regardless, I'm sick of his horseshit, and I want a circuit to prevent the doorbell from being re-triggered. Alternately, I'm considering a circuit to send the first push to the doorbell, the second push to null, and the 3rd to a huge fucking airhorn, mounted above the door. All suggestions considered...

Had you asked 3 years ago, I could have told you everything you need to know.

If it was just one guy, yeah. Seems there's no one particular person, and apparently the FedEx guy has Parkinson's too. Maybe my doorbell just has that "ring me fucking incessantly" look about it. Whatever. I'm liking the air horn option more and more, although my daughter (who was also rudely awakened this morning by the neurotic delivery person du jour), and my GF both suggested some means of high voltage electrocution.

Rig the doorbell so that when he pushes the button, he gets 110v right through his fucking finger. See how many times he pushes the doorbell then.

What he said. That was my first thought, but I didnt want to seem like I supported electrocuting the delivery guy. I've been shocked by a doorbell before, wasnt too painful and it definitely made me never ring it again.

The button works flawlessly. The problem is apparently not unlike the computer analog of "PEBCAK"...we'll call this a "PEBUAB" problem (Problem Exists Between User And Button).
I seek an automated solution.

How 'bout a sign that says "the more often you push the button, the more shells I can load"
