Freakin' awesome !! I don't want to live up there but spending some time there on vacation would be killer !! I love the snow and love snowmobiles. I didn't used to like the cold that much but if you know how to dress for it and deal with it....oh he11 yes !!!!
Like I said though...for vacation...like a week or two playing in it and then send me back south !! I can't imagine living there and dealing with it on a daily basis going back and forth to work etc....no thanks. Up in West Virginia..."humm well this chit was frozen this morning" This was at Seven Springs in Pa. after leaving the rental parked for a week. "Well at least most of it has melted. Trying on the new stuff for the trip out to Heavenly at Lake Tahoe We got there at night and woke up to a nice view out of the window of the cabin... Heading up the mountain... Ahh....found the bar on Heavenly at close to 10,000 feet. Back at the cabin at the end of the day to regroup and get a plan for the evening...Reno casino's anyone ? |

By christmas, the ice is usually 12-14"thick here, and doesnt melt till spring. Peak is about mid jan to the end of Feb, when its about 18-19" thick.

I'm sure you're right...I'm a bit of a n00b...only been a few times but just behind the person taking the pic is big rock and some trees and that's where you have to hang a sharp right and I was a little concerned about flying across it and not stopping until I hit one or the other. I knew it wasn't very deep there.

Lol, I'm still trying to wrap my head around that. I have spent every christmas in ohio. But it would be cool as hell to open gifts and then go on a sweet ride. Hmmm... March can't come fast enough...

Yep I was on trails most of the time in WV and the whole time in Heavenly but my one time in the Black Hills area of South Dakota...no trails at all...what a blast. My ex FIL was from Iowa so we went up there one winter...they go about every year but I lost that benefit in the divorce.
