It travels locked in separate places for the "closer to legal" factor. In most states,they require it be locked in the trunk....

My Georgia carrying permit is no good in SC. But whenever I take my bike through there i have my gun on my tank. I'd rather have it on me and use it if I have to then spend some time in jail defending myself than be laying in the ground dead but doing the legal thing.
