Hey, pick up a Wiseco bottom end kit, it comes with crank, rod, bearings, seals, gaskets, rod bearing and several other things for way better price than you can buy OEM stuff or individual.

at a minimum I'm also putting a new piston in, since the old one was destroyed by some kid trying to get the wrist pin out or something, it looks like holy hell.

Watch those cir clips. Cover the case with a rag before you remove or install the cir clips. If one goes down into the crank case you are fucked. You'll need to split the case apart again. If you leave it there it will destroy your cylinder jug and piston. Ask me how I know.

J/K I've done it too. Usually I can fish them out with a pencil magnet. JC

I know that one. my friend had a circlip come out on his dad's RD400, and DESTROY a cylinder wall. needless to say, I'll be paying close attention to that detail.
since its a 2 stroke, theres no real limit to the HELL that can cause if one of those came out. |

yeah, they should. those little bastards are gifts from satan. I'm almost tempted to find out if snap rings would be an appropriate replacement for them.
