I've been using a knock-off brand of Hippo Hands for over 30 years. Here's a pair on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/hippo...mZ330279907939
It keeps the wind off your hands so you can wear lightweight gloves underneath and completely feel the controls. |

Those old Hippo Hands on ebay are up to $65 with less than 3 hours left. I have all my touring gear on my CBR in my avatar. Saddlebags, tankbag, tall windscreen, and Hippo hands. Here's a better picture.
I have to feel the controls, so I can't wear snowmobile gloves. The Hippo Hands keep the wind off your hands. If you have heated grips, you can wear summer gloves underneath the Hippo Hands. |

The Cortech SCARAB gloves line also has a winter model. I have it and I'd say that it's good down to 40-F.

I stop over at Montgomeryville Cycle Center and purchased a pair of Olympia All Season Gore-Tex gloves. Model/style GT4150.
I asked Bob ( who I've been dealing with since the early 80s) what he recommended for winter gloves. He asked how cold I would be riding in and when I said it was 25* this past monday, he went right for these Olympia's. He said if these don't work, my only other option is electric gloves. They were a bit more than what I was planing on spending but figure I only have to spend $89. once. Jeff |

I'm thinking of picking some of those up for the winter mornings here in FL myself. I've heard good things about them.

I am looking into winter gloves too. Yesterday morning I think my fingers were nearly frostbitten. Had to run them under cold to luke warm water to start feeling anything more than pressure in the tips again. Might try the Latex gloves idea, but also considereing the A* Vega Drystars.
