WTH I thought it was supposed to be an upbeat movie about a spoiled pet. I'm not watching it now.

That movie reminded me of my yellow lab Molly. She was exactly like that dog in the movie. We had her for 11 short years..... Dogs just don't live long enough do they?

My yellow lab Heidi looked just like marley. Was about that nuts when we first got her (trained her though). Luckily she's only 3 years old, so she'll still be around for a while.

Oh I haven't seen it but I'm GUARANTEED to cry! Hell,I cried when Mufasa died in the Lion King! I gave up my "man card" a long time ago when it comes to animals dying in movies... I can watch people die all die...ho hum... but a DOG? Get out the tissues!

Truth... after my dad passed away, one of our dogs (already kinda old and frail himself) died within a month of my dad.. the other (only about 10 years old.. probably coulda had another 2-3 years of life in him) went just last November/December. At least neither suffered too much, but it was obvious how much they missed my dad.. they seemed.. lost. I can't say I blame them.. I feel that way some days too.

I had a dog like that as a kid. In life you'd never know he and my Papa were best buds, but when Papa went to the hospital that dog refused to leave the chair they always sat in, and after he came home to pass, that dog never left his side.

I wont be seeing Marley tho, even reading about him dying gets me, so I'll pass. I may have to be committed when my dog Abby moves on...
