Local one based in the Triad (greensboro/high point/winston-salem)

Nothing official yet, as the loan is in the works. Local competition is pretty stiff at this level so might not be wise to throw the name out at this point, as this would take them to the next step and allow them to distribute outside of NC...which is a big deal from what I understand

Totally understand. So you're in the package automation industry or something? NC is a hotbed for beer, second in the U.S. only to Colorado, for sure. Asheville is beer geek mecca.

Actually I'm a mechanical engineer (HVAC and plumbing design) and was given this job by an architect that saw that there was far less "walls and interior" than he wanted to fool with.

Plus all the equipment will be purchased used, so it will be a retrofit/upfit that's right up our alley. We just bring water/air/gas/drains right up to what they purchase.

Ah, good points. Let me qualify my earlier statement by saying the beer mecca of the South.

That works, its good to see more breweries popping up in the south and mid atlantic areas. I think as more people leave the north east its creating a greater demand. I always liked trying beers from the smaller breweries or stuff thats not easy to find outside a local area.

Yeah I'm loving all the locals here.....I love going into Mellow Mushroom and seeing 40 taps and spending the night getting sloshed trying out everything

I've heard also, that Asheville is the hippy beer capitol of NC

I only get up there when heading to the gap or going to Biltmore for Christmas with the family.....but I need to check out a few good places for sampling.

What do you suggest?

The Wedge.

Best beer in Asheville, hands down.

Asheville tied Portland for Beer City, USA, last year.
