Unless they've ridden on Dunlops or Pirellis.

Or Michelin. I haven't tried Pirelli yet, and just bought a good stock worth of Power Races for the season. Don't suppose you can offer a direct comparison?
I switched to the v-profile front at the end of last season. BIG mistake using it for the first time at Shenandoah, thought I was going to fall off the bike in the quick full lean to full lean transitions. But once I was familiar with it, I was hooked. Great traction on the front in turns, which is helpful when you're an oaf like me and tend to put too much weight on the clip-ons. |

I switched away from Michelin before they came out the the new Power Ones. The old Michelins had great grip until they didn't and then they'd just let go. The Dunlops seemed to give much better feedback and a predictable slide when they started to go away rather than dropping you on your head. The Pirellis feel much the same. The new Michelins are supposed to be worlds better than the new but I'm happy and have no need to look back. The guys I know that ride them seem to love them.

That's the way the OLD Dunslop 208GP's use to be (circa 2003/2004)

Spot on for the power races, by the time you realized something was wrong, you were already sliding. |
