Seriously though, its fucked up, I paid $39 on monday and I don't want to see what it is now.

I smoke cigars, and while I'm not happy an extra dollar tax on a $20+ cigar isn't all that bad.

When I started smoking they were like a buck and some (small) change. When I quit a few years ago they were over $3/pack. $6/pack is fucking retarded. I'd either start rolling my own, or switch to crack. Cheaper either way.

I used to get change back from a buck when I started.

35 cents in the machines, which were a ripoff compared to a store at under $3 per carton.

I think I'm getting old.

I watched someone buy a pack of smokes here in the city for just over $10.

Insane.

I actually like the tax in a way. I quit just over 5 years ago. The girl said she would quit when she knew I was serious about this whole quitting thing. Now with the new taxes she did the roll your own for the last year and now for the last month she has finally been smoke free.
