Stopped at a local bike shop today. They had 2 pair of padded bike shorts hanging on a rack, both same brand, at least one that would fit me. They were $50, but it was foam padding, not gel. Guy asked if he could help. Asked if they had gel.
"Nope, those are better." "Ok, what makes them better?" Several seconds of silence, then, "Gel don't work so good and it's heavy." "Ok, I'm getting these for extra padding for riding my motorcycle. A buddy told me that gel filled bike shorts made his rides much better and I should try it." Silence. "I'll think about it and do some research." Silence. I walked out. Have field calls up in Indy tomorrow, will stop by someplace where I can actually get some customer service. |
