We're having the same problems down here. Everyone who sneezes or has a hangover or a hangnail suddenly has swine flu. And with the overabundance of retired, gullible, paranoid old folk down here, the ER's been flooded with dangerous cases of mass stupidity.

The realy old and the realy young are the ones to worry about, esp in large institutions, nursing homes and that sort of thing. If I wasnt near ground zero of all this in NY I would prolly find it prety entertaining. I am ready to have all my e-mails from the CDC and DOH filed as spam

If the old folk around here got exposure from anything beyond the little tiny world they lock themselves up in, I'd be more concerned about their welfare in this situation. They just have Medicare and aren't afraid to use it.

IOM TT: Swine flu to halt TT races?
By Visordown News
'It's too early to decide' says Isle of Man Chief Minister

THE ISLE of Man's Chief Minister, Tony Brown, has said that it's 'too early' to decide whether the outbreak of swine flu will put a halt to this year's Isle of Man TT.
At a press conference Mr Brown said: "Like every country around the world we are taking appropriate precautions in terms of giving the public advice as to what they should do. We want to give confidence now to the people of the Isle of Man that the Isle of Man Government is conscious to the potential of a pandemic and has been preparing for that."

When asked specifically about the running of this year's races, the Minister admitted it was 'too early to say'.

"It's important that we don't move too quickly on that and make decisions that we shouldn't make. But at the moment the TT is going ahead."

Earlier this week, Visordown exclusively revealed that eight-time motorcycle World Champion Valentino Rossi is to visit the Island during TT fortnight.

I think the whole thing is bullshit. It's yet another disease that's popped up because of too much population density, and is doing it's job of thinning out that problem. I will continue to wash my hands, eat a good diet, and keep my blood disinfected with massive amounts of alcohol. See you all next week.
