Default Hi from California...

I recognize a lot of names here but I am going to introduce myself anyway.

My name is Colleen. I started riding last June. I have a 92 Yamaha FZR which I am currently making mine! I peeled off all of pink and teal stripes so I can put on red stars and I am currently waiting to get my new seat back.

Me...pre-stripe stripping...although I have dark hair now.

I am on what feels like eleventy billion forums right now but I am still learing about bikes and can use all the help I can get.

For sure. I cannot believe what a big difference striping it made!

I thought about it but I don't think I could handle not having any color on my bike. After seeing how it looks now I will most likely end up with less stars than I was planning before I took off the stripes.

I don't think I saw your original plan though...

I am on about plan M by now.

My original plan was to do red stripes with a few stars inside the rear "V" stripe. But then someone photoshopped me this...

And that was my plan.

Then I found out that just getting red stripes put on without the stars was going to cost me $600!

Next plan was just to take off the teal and pink and see what condition the paint was in underneath...hoping that no paint would be scratched/peeled/whatever during the removal process.

Now I have the all black bike...aside from the damn FZR sticker that still have teal and pink on it and I want to add some red accents to it. I will be getting my seat back soon (fingers crossed it is really soon!) and it has a red welt/stripe around it.

I have also played with the idea of red rim stripes...although unless someone photoshops that for me to see how it looks I am sure I wont do it.

All this does not include the suspension work I need/want done, the windscreen I desperately want to replace, and a few other little mods I need/want done.
