I reply to them that I don't have a bank account and that sending cash trough western union is the only way I do business. I have never had a reply back from any of them.

Got a reply:
This came today as a reply to my "pick it up locally" request:
"Hi again, I have to tell you that the bike is already at the shipping company in Memphis, TN . As I said in the first email I work as a dealer on a cruise ship and for this reason I chose to sell my bike over the internet. I want you to know that the transaction fits the Vehicle Protection plan and will be covered by eBay. Vehicle Purchase Protection reimburses buyers who are involved in a vehicle transaction through their program. The program provides reimbursement for all the situations that can appear in a transaction. The money will be sent to an eBay trust account managed by an eBay representative. After the payment is confirmed and secured by eBay I will start the shipping. The bike will be in front at your door in max 3 days. From the moment you receive it you have a 7 days inspection period. After the 7 days you have to decide if you want to keep the bike or not. If you'll keep it the payment will be released to me. In case you will not like the bike and decide not to keep it I will ship the bike back on my cost and you will be fully refunded. If you agree I will need your full name and complete shipping address. Sorry for the long email. I have tried to touch all bases. Thank you! Elizabeth Campbell" So then I sent this: Dear Elizabeth, Outstanding! I will be in Memphis tomorrow for business. This will allow me to pick up the bike and ride it home during the weekend! This is great! Not only will you be able to have the cash the same day, but I'll get a great weekend ride out of it up the Blueridge Parkway! An you'll save shipping costs (but for the price you are selling it for, I wouldn't dream of asking for more of a discount ) This will work out great for both of us. I assume your shipper takes cash? Send me the address so i can Mapquest it, and I'll pick it up as soon as I get in. This will be wonderful. I'm so glad this can work out. thanks OTB |

I got this reply a couple days ago after I replied to a local for sale on Kijiji.
My original message, "Your temp is in F. Up here in Canada we use C. Scammers are far from smart... " Their response, The price for this motorcycle is: 2800CAD ATT: Please reply to this email just if you are serious and legal buyer. If you don't have the full amount or if you are a scamer from Africa DO NOT REPLY!!! My name is Anne Thyr. I'm Swedish, now I'm working for the US Army as Consultant in Nevada state and I want to sell this motorcycle because in 3 months will be moved with my job in Sweden. This offer is available just for the serious buyers because I already had a bad experience with a buyer from Anchorage, AK who asked me to ship the motorcycle through the safe method eBay Vehicle Protection Program but when the motorcycle arrived he never paid for it. Now the motorcycle is located to the eBay Center and is ready to be delivered to a real customer. The motorcycle is in perfect condition never involved in accidents. If you want to purchase it then send me your complete name and address for shipping. The delivery time will be only 3 days and the motorcycle will be delivered at your home address full registered in your state and under your name. |
