Poor , Tommy be nice to them, don't go beating it with flagpole and other makeshift weapons! What is wrong with you? Save that for your ghetto patients that dont' have health insurance and don't pay their med bills and taxes our healthcare system.

I saw a once next to my apt. At first I thought it was a big cat because who would have thought you would see a in Queens? I guess they made their way over from Long Island!

Then the longer I stared at him, and it stared back at me, I realized with his little bandit mask it was a . He was really cute too.

I know that! But we aren't called Long Island! And if they are in LI, it kinda of far trek to come to my neighborhood. I wonder if you can find coons in BK now too?

I am so leaving that last part alone

racoons and opossums are all over long island including brooklyn and queens. Between all the parks and cemetaries hey have plenty of places to hide out along withthe sewers.

They are scavengers by nature and an urban setting provides a good food source and aside from man no natural predators to contend with so they tend to do quite well in these areas.

if all else fails my dad used to use a squirt gun filled with cologne or perfume on them in a city. they would stay away after a couple shots of that crap.

My wife loves to keep the birds in the neighborhood fed and by doing this she attracts all kinds of little critters...Opossums...Squirrels...Raccoons...and once I saw a Skunk out there.

I usually run them off...well me and my dog and I've trapped a few squirrels and relocated them but the Skunk found it's way into the trap once and that was pretty fecked up.

It's funny to see my dog chase a coon since I know the coon could turn around and whip him but neither one of them has figured that out so as long as the coon keeps running and growling...all is good. I'm on standby in case my boy needs bailing out.
